I haven't posted for a while sorry folks just didn't have anything that I wanted to say..but now here it comes...The company I work for doesn't want to pay any overtime not even one minute..Well I was scheduled to work 39 hours one week, and Tuesday was supposed to be my day off. I scheduled an appointment with someone for that afternoon. Before my appointment, I was called by my immediate supervisor and she asked me if I could come in to close she didn't have enough closers. I asked when she wanted me to come in to work and she said as soon as I could. I told her that I could come in after 5:00PM because I had an appointment she was pleased that I had agreed to come in to close so she said OK come in as soon as you can after your appointment..so I worked about 3 hours more than I was scheduled. (When she called she said I would be able to keep the extra hours) Well, I worked the rest of the week and no one said anything to me...until Friday. Saturday is the begining of our work week so when Friday came, I was told that I had to leave at 1:15. I asked why, I was told that I had too many hours..I told the CSM that I wanted to talk to the Manager, they said after I get off the register. I get off the register and I ask the manager why I am told that I have to leave. He said check your hours and then come and tell me how many hours that you have so far..I did. I had about 36 hours not counting the 3 hours that I had worked that morning. So I went back on the sales floor to tell him..When I told him, he looked down at me and said this: Did you think that you were going to work all day today? I looked at him and said I was prepared to yes. Then he said no you are going to have overtime. I said but I came in on my day off and was told that I was going to have extra hours..he said extra hours yes not overtime...So I just turned and said fine and then left.This was on the sales floor by the service desk where customers and associates could hear what he was saying to me..The manager has a nack of giving me greif like that on the sales floor. That happened on the Friday before my last vacation....so I guess that my vacation started a little early....Oh well...
